Welcome to Issue 23 of The Pipe and Ball Chronicle, the E-Newsletter of Gloucester City Hockey Club. Many thanks to all of you for taking the time to download this E-Newsletter. We are grateful for your time and hope you appreciate this insight into the club. As usual, if you do have any queries or would like to contribute to Gloucester City Hockey Club's successful Editorial Team, then do not hesitate to Contact Us via the website.
As the start of the season draws near on what promises to be yet another very successful year on and off the pitch, may we take this opportunity on behalf of Gloucester City Hockey Club, to welcome you to the new 2008/2009 season. The old pdf newsletter has been superseded with a new electronic newsletter (E-newsletter) version which works in parallel with www.gloucestercityhc.co.uk the online home of Gloucester City Hockey Club. The new format will hopefully provide you with more regular and more precise news content than ever before!
Firstly, many thanks to all of you who donned the bobblehats and macks for the Senior Club Open Day which took place on Saturday 6th September at Plock Court. This was again a great success (as it is every year) which can only continue to attract new talent to such a well supported club!
As for forthcoming events, the Junior Club Open Day is on Sunday 21st September to be held at Plock Court. Directions can be found on the website and further details can be found in the Latest News section below or from the website.
Finally, most of you will now be in preparations for the opening fixtures which start in the next few weeks. Remember, when you don the red and black shirts you are representing Gloucester City Hockey Club.
Please continue to spread the good word and here's to a successful 2008/2009 campaign!
