YATE 1 GLOUCESTER CITY A 3

GLOUCESTER City proved too strong for their hosts in an entertaining game at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex.

Mark Charania's strike 10 minutes before the interval cancelled out Yate's deserved opener early on.

Gloucester dominated the second half with further goals from the in-form Andy McGuinness and a well worked finish from top marksman Charania.

Gloucester City: Godwin, Ward, Bateman, Radford, Patel, Done, Tranter, McGuinness, Taylor, Tyrrell, Charania, Morse.

GLOUCESTER C LADIES II 1 LANSDOWN LADIES II 0

GLOUCESTER Ladies emerged victorious from their first game of the second half of the season after a closely-fought match.

Gloucester absorbed an initial attacking period from Lansdown with some good strong tackling from the defence of Andi Bateman, Sarita Dawes and Dee Grant.

Gloucester started to push forward with some searing runs through the midfield from Annia Fabian.

Chloe O'Donoghue also had some excellent attacking opportunities and only narrowly failed to score the opening goal when she found herself one on one with the Lansdown goalkeeper.

Mo Lawley finally managed to put Gloucester ahead three minutes before half-time following some decisive passing between herself and Lou Davies.

Lansdown started the second half as strongly as the first but Jo Reeves made some excellent saves to deny Lansdown the goal they deserved.

A second opportunity for Lawley was superbly saved by the Lansdown keeper to deny Gloucester the comfort of a two-goal lead.

The game finished tensely with Lansdown being award a number of penalty corners which they failed to convert, resulting in a hard earned victory for Gloucester.
